Arlington County
Alcova Heights Park
Alcova Heights Park is a 13-acre park in Arlington County that lies between Columbia Pike and Arlington Boulevard. It serves the surrounding neighborhoods of Alcova Heights and Barcroft with a variety of activities including picnic shelters, playgrounds, baseball, basketball, volleyball and public restrooms.
The Alcova Heights Park renovation includes a number of amenity upgrades across the 13-acre park including a new comfort station, picnic shelters, a playground, a basketball court, and walking paths — all designed with an emphasis on safety, circulation, and the environment.
The new comfort station and storage building includes three new ADA accessible toilet rooms, park storage and a drinking fountain. The highly-durable materials used for the structure are sustainable and consistent with recent park structure improvements throughout Arlington County, creating a continuity of architecture for the overall County Parks while celebrating unique features of Alcova Park.
