Cornell University Sage Memorial Chapel

Sage Chapel is one of the oldest buildings on the Cornell campus. The original building was constructed in 1873 following the designs of Charles Babcock, founder of the Cornell Architecture Program. The building has undergone 4 additions, the latest completed in 1940.

JMA Preservation was brought in to do a comprehensive condition survey and assessment. Survey of the components and condition of the building were carried out by a team of architects, structural engineers, civil engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, a decorative painting consultant, and a stained glass conservator. Using the survey information, the team developed an assessment which was put forth in a report.
