“Sidd” MD Abu Baker Siddique, Associate AIA
PROJECT DESIGNER
“A great building must begin with the unmeasurable, must go through measurable means when it is being designed and, in the end, must be unmeasurable.” - Louis Kahn
Siddique is a designer at heart who believes that habitable spaces need to be thoroughly “designed” from a microscale detail to a macroscale urban environment. His perspective towards architecture derives from a broad spectrum of understanding the relationship between art and architecture, urban design, and landscape architecture. Having his Masters in Architecture from Virginia Tech, he perceives an architectural environment based on its functionality, playful composition of light and materials, and fulfilling the necessity of environmental sustainability.
A keen eye for details helps him to realize a conceived project with an efficient co-ordination with other technical consultants. Considering a good space has a positive psychological impact on its occupant’s behavior; Siddique is committed to closely understand the client’s viewpoint and requirements in pursuit to outline an innovative design idea. Outside of work you may bump into him exploring cities and landscapes, or capturing the moments with his camera or sketchpad while enjoying some good music with his family.
