Britton Baine, RA
ASSOCIATE
With degrees in both architecture and historic preservation, Britton combines extensive professional experience in building envelope analysis with a great love of historic structures of all kinds. Inspired at a young age by his family’s 250-year-old house in rural Virginia, his happiest moments at work (and anytime) are when he’s exploring an old building, discovering its secrets, and tracing the evolution of its form and uses from its long-ago construction to the present day. Coming to the Washington area by way of Dallas, Philadelphia, and New York, he has a love of big cities, while his other interests include experimental and long-exposure photography and exploring historic small towns.
